A woman works at her laptop with, "Google Partner" superimposed over her

You may or may not have heard about this thing called a Google Partner. Fun fact: only 3% of firms in the US are official Google Partners – and we’re one of them!
Here are some quick facts on what that means, and more importantly, how it helps you achieve your goals:

The Certification Exam

Before becoming a Google Partner, members of your team must pass an online exam administered by Google. These are robust tests of 100+ questions, that require a score of 80% or higher to pass.
This is done on the individual level to ensure that every member of the team knows their shit.
These certifications are only valid for 12 months, and must be renewed annually to ensure that the individuals are staying up to date with the latest platform changes, trends, and best practices.
Sample questions include, “While teaching a new account manager how to build a Search campaign, why do you tell her that she should group similar keywords together in an ad group?” and “If the cost-per-thousand impressions option is not available for a campaign, what is the most likely reason?”. Really, really, specific and strategic knowledge.

Proven Top Performers

It isn’t enough to show that your team can pass the tests – Google also needs to see you in action.
Once enrolled in the Partners program, Google will monitor your performance and make sure that it is consistently improving and meeting benchmark performance metrics set by Google. If you don’t reach all of Google’s predetermined goals, then Google will not officially partner with your agency.

Experience

You also must maintain a certain level of activity in your account for at least 12 months. This is a way to make sure that someone doesn’t just ride off of the success of one good campaign, but instead shows consistent results across multiple campaigns in the long term.
Being a Google Partner means being experienced and an expert in Google’s platforms.

What This Means for You

If you’re in the market for some digital marketing management, you will get the most bang for your buck with a certified Google Partner.
Anyone can set up an account and try to get you results, but a Google Partner is highly knowledgeable and experienced, with a proven track record of success.
Not to brag, but that’s us! If you want to see what we can do firsthand, let us know! We’d love to explore how our talented team can create real results for you.
