We hire the best of the best and the smartest of the smart (you get the idea). It’s what allows our ‘small’ agency to accomplish some pretty big shit. By the way, ‘small’ to us means we accomplish far more than marketing agencies three or four times our size, all with a fraction of the staff. Why? Because our people and our processes kick some serious ass.

You ready to join the team?

As 8THIRTYFOUR’s Marketing Associate, you’ll be cranking out email marketing, social media, content, ad copy, blogs, research, press releases, podcasts, media lists and so much more. You are the wearer of all hats and the juggler of all balls. You are the go-to hustler for our account managers and quick-thinking is your jam. You’ll need to ooze confidence (fake it to make it) and own any room you walk into. We don’t hire wallflowers.

You’re a jack of all trades, you love public relations, podcasting, writing, blogging, brainstorming and you are a social media guru, digital wiz, cat herder and time management ninja. If you’re not organized and creative, no need to apply. If you take yourself too seriously, you’ll have a hard time participating in our office water gun fights or yearly retreats.

Primary Responsibilities

You gotta be able to do all the things.

  • Content Creation: Researching and writing is your love language, and you love tying both back to the identified strategy and goals. Tasks will include proofreading, copywriting, competitive research, the company database, customer follow-up, general research and events.
  • Social Media: Zuck has nothing on you, you love TikTok, Instagram – IGTV, Reels, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest…you get the idea. You’re obsessed with engagement, reach and trends…and you may or may not be an influencer.
  • Project Assistance: If someone needs it, you got it. You are the Pollyanna of associates. You love jumping in and solving problems from crafting content, drafting witty social posts, planning kickass office parties or just running to pick something up. No task is too small or too big and you thrive on helping the team.
  • PR Support: You got an A in internet sleuthing (stalking) in college and you love researching industry reporters, articles and finding out the details that will make or break a pitch. Media lists are not boring to you, they’re exhilarating because you know it is the most important tool in media outreach.
  • Digital Marketing: You gotta know the Google. We are a digital firm and this position loves digital advertising. Search, display, like-building – you get the idea. You know your shit. We build websites and you’ll assist throughout the process, cause that’s what you love – being the linchpin.

Skills (the boring shit)

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and web analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Requirements (the necessary shit)

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • 2+ year working in an agency setting
