It’s all our writings, resources, podcasts, and videos in one place just for you. Why? Because we like you. We really, really like you.
Also, we’ve been around for 19+ years, so the library is EXTENSIVE.
Dig into the Happy Hour Hustle podcast, read all of our musings, check out Bode’s latest awkward video, view a dog photo or 10, and sit back and be wildly entertained.
We don’t do boring.
Search it. Do it.
Follow our shenanigans
on the ‘gram.
This is why we do what we do. Most women business owners are left to navigate business ownership alone, juggling hiring, cash flow, and strategy while trying to keep the lights on. It’s overwhelming and it’s lonely.
The Women’s Entrepreneurial Fellowship is designed to change that. It’s an intentionally small cohort because real support doesn’t happen in a crowded room. Participants will receive the support they’ve been missing, and the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to scale - all guided by people who have built and grown businesses themselves.
If you’re a second-stage business owner ready to grow, this program is for you. Applications close on September 15.

Perimenopause results in a brutal shift in energy, productivity, motivation, and mental clarity. We are leading companies, people, and navigating and holding up the world while the general public gets the ‘ick’ at the mention of our bodies, physicians hand out antidepressants as a solution, and there is little to no education or awareness on the subject.
Combine the two and you get our next Uncomfortable Conversation: The Pause, presented in partnership with the SBAM Women’s Business Council.
Let`s get uncomfortable together. Register for the conversation. Link in bio.
Comfort in the uncomfortable. It`s kind of our thing (@bodespeaks literally has it tattooed on her arm). If you’re following along, you know our next Uncomfortable Community Conversation, in partnership with the @smallbusinessassocofmichigan Women’s Business Council, is back. This time we`re talking perimenopause - like, actually, talking about it because there is little to no education on it - and its impact on business owners.
Real conversations with real people + wine = Always a good time as you can see in the photos.
See you at “The Pause” September 24. And yes, men, we mean you too.
Register now at the link in bio before spots fill up.
The Women`s Entrepreneurial Fellowship supports Michigan`s established women business owners with the resources, insight, and connections it takes to break through growth barriers and scale with confidence. Through the next 9 months the walls will come down, challenges become shared-problem solving, and wins become everyone`s celebration.
Ready for what is next? Applications are due by September 15th. Link in bio.

@bodespeaks is heading down to see our friends at Women in Defense Space Coast for their industry, awards dinner and leadership retreat. @widcfl
A little birdie told us that she’ll be speaking during the retreat, we’re hoping someone grabs a few photos.
Did you know that Women In Defense and NDIA is one of our clients and we’ve built over 15 chapter websites for them and @ndiatoday @widnational
It’s happy hour with dogs, badass women, f-bombs, iced red wine, ADHD detours, questionable choices, and a whole lot of fun. The topics are random, the guests are awesome, and it’s always a good time. Hosted by Kim Bode, creator of Big Deal Energy™ and founder of 8THIRTYFOUR, a communications and learning company (19 years young); Happy Hour Hustle is real, unfiltered, and you’re probably gonna need a nap after (we suggest listening at .5x).
Get uncomfortable with us, it’s where life is interesting.
Happy Hour Hustle #113: Small Business Impact of New Ballot Proposals
It’s Bode unfiltered. Dogs, personal branding, small business…all the stuff that really matters in the world.
It’s her view from the floor, surrounded by dogs and chaos.
Bentley the Wonder Dog was the OG 8THIRTYFOUR dog. He was called Benny Boop Boop, Fatty McFatterson, Tubby Wubby, Tubs, and more.
His hijinks were legendary. Just ask us about the bird, the mouse and that one person’s lunch.
We’ve been doing this so long, we forget all the cool shit we’ve accomplished.
Like that one time we planned and coordinated the first performance art piece in ArtPrize. We floated 25,000 Chinese Lanterns over the GR Skyline, AND placed in ArtPrize’s Top 10 mere hours before the deadline.
Another time, we organized a citywide, historically based scavenger hunt with talking pictures, a mascot (Flat Stanley), and tour guides in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids.
It was staffed, organized, designed, marketed, and promoted by…you guessed it: 8THIRTYFOUR.
