Keiffer & Friends Pit Bull Rescue
First off, any organization dedicated to saving dogs definitely has our vote. Keiffer and Friends Pit Bull Rescue is dedicated to a very special breed of the furry variety, pit bulls. They are cute, cuddly and often mislabeled as a vicious breed. Pit bulls started to gain more national attention when Cesar Milan better known as the Dog Whisperer came out in support and defense of this lovable companion. Milan says in his blog: The various pit bull breed bans are decried by animal control officials as “the most concentrated legal assault on a pit bull they can recall,” as well as “canine racism.” The Houston Chronicle quotes unnamed officials as placing the blame for the problem squarely on humans. So what can you do? Well, for one..give our friends at Keiffer & Friends Pit Bull Rescue some love. Donate to their cause of saving this ill-represented breed and spread the word that pit bulls need our love and support. Get involved here.
Just a side note, team 834 is hosting a happy hour to celebrate our new friends at Keiffer & Friends Pit Bull Rescue on October 18th, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Full details here.
