Sometimes a cause is so compelling, so basic, that we are forced to share it with the community.  Here is your monthly nonprofit discovery post in the series Cause We Love.

You don’t have to know us personally to figure out that us gals at 834 Design & Marketing have a soft spot for animals. You know those people who post tons of pictures of their pets on Facebook and share compelling animal stories that tug on your heart strings? That’s us, except we call our pets our “fur kids”.

Out of our love for animals and hard core activism towards adoption and preventing pet homelessness, this month we’d like to introduce you to Keiffer & Friends Pit Bull Rescue, a non- profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The name says it all. Keiffer & Friends Pit Bull Rescue’s mission is to find responsible owners for homeless pit bulls by providing care, treatment, protection, and education to the community. Not only does Keiffer & Friends work to save and protect pit bulls from abuse, neglect, and illness, part of their mission is to curb the false reputation built on the breed. If you’ve ever met a pit bull, you’d know these energetic fur friends are full of love and crave human attention. Sadly, this wonderful breed faces discrimination every day as they have been falsely given an aggressive and violent reputation, but that doesn’t stop Keiffer & Friends from the shining a much deserved positive light on pit bulls by spreading  truth to the community.

Are you interested in helping Keiffer & Friends achieve their mission to find forever homes for the pit bulls in west Michigan and show the community their true colors? Volunteer your time, funds, or items based off the Keiffer wish list to help a pit bull in need.

Visit Keiffer & Friends Facebook or website to see how you can get involved and be a voice for the amazing pit bull breed.
