A green background features white text reading, "#GivingTuesday"

It’s the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and you know what that means. And, if you don’t, we’re about to tell you.
Yes, you may be feeling the lull of Thanksgiving leftovers, and your bank account may be diminished from Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday … But, today isn’t about spending, and it’s not about you…it’s about giving back.
It’s #GivingTuesday!

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Get involved with #GivingTuesday, and benefit Grand Rapids, directly.

#GRgives on #GivingTuesday is a city-wide campaign to raise funds, find volunteers and build awareness for local nonprofits. Designed to create a movement around #GivingTuesday in Grand Rapids, #GRgives helps nonprofits band together — promoting one resource for all to share their donation and volunteer opportunities, and one place for our community members to find all the ways they can give.

Every little bit helps.

Grand Rapids is home to over 3,000 nonprofits, and #GRgives makes it easy to browse through the list of organizations based on their cause. You can find the directory of Grand Rapids-based nonprofits, here. Participate in #GRgives on #GivingTuesday by volunteering your time, making a financial contribution, and/or sharing the love for local organizations on social media.

In honor of #GivingTuesday, 8THIRTYFOUR will be donating to Vicky’s Pet Connection, Aries Doberman Liberation and the Grand Rapids Pride Center.
How will you be getting involved with #GRgives on #GivingTuesday?
