Honoring Former First Lady, Betty Ford

In September of 2010, 8THIRTYFOUR was asked to plan a very special event, one that would honor Former First Lady, Betty Ford. It was an exciting event to plant, as it included public relations, event management, social media, design and coordination with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. Through Mrs. Ford’s courage, advocacy and activism, the nation changed the way it views, talks about and cares for disease – specifically breast cancer and addiction. West Michigan is incredibly fortunate to be a beneficiary of her ground-breaking vision. She was a truly phenomenal woman, and she is missed.
