I love being able to see Shelley Irwin once a month for our morning show segment, Your Biz, Your Town. As always we had some amazing guests and as always I am recapping the segment and giving you the opportunity to get involved!

The Guests:

Jandernoa Entrepreneurial Mentoring

“Lonely at the top” is often the frustration expressed by business decision makers wrestling with strategic as well as day-to-day operations. Through a careful and deliberate selection, Jandernoa Entrepreneurial Mentoring (JEM) ends that isolation with a careful matching process that seeks the right fit with a mentor.  This is why we base JEM on three years of one-to-one monthly meetings in a confidential environment.  JEM mentees will gain the advantage of our mentor’s experience, insight and empowerment.  Our mentors gain the enjoyment of relating with a leader of a company and assist in the tough decisions that come along with growing a business.

Find out more here, as well as check out their upcoming March 28th event here.

Grand Rapids Red Project

The Grand Rapids Red Project organization is made up of community members who are passionate advocates and activists in the fight against HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and the harmful or risky choices that help spread these life-altering medical conditions.

Each year, the organization hosts Dining Out For Life.

Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, corporate sponsors and restaurants. In exchange for their financial support, restaurants are listed in a city wide marketing campaign in an effort to increase customer traffic.

Get involved, whether you are a restaurant, local business or a person wanting to volunteer. Great organizations need great support. What are you waiting for? Email me, *@*******gn.com“>ki*@*******gn.com for more info.

Rosa’s Closet, Party for a Cure

Rosa’s Closet is an upscale resale boutique, in East Grand Rapids that provides designer clothing and accessories in great condition to our customers. At Rosa’s we give your clothing a second life and you profit! We work with you to sell your nearly new garments and accessories that you no longer need.

Head out to Rosa’s Closet this Saturday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. for a special night of savings – 50% off select new and resale items, 25% off all shoes and accessories, wine, refreshments and a portion of the evenings proceeds going to Susan G. Komen West Michigan to fund the fight against breast cancer in our community.

For a full list of giveaways and prizes, check the Rosa’s Closet Facebook page.  Invite your friends, enjoy yourself and know that you are supporting a great cause.

Shelley and I do this segment monthly to encourage those within the community to get out and get involved. So, do it.
