West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT)

If you haven’t heard the news, WMCAT is moving to the vibrant West Side! WMCAT and Meijer are the only tenants that are currently confirmed for the upcoming “superblock” located between Bridge St. and Stocking Ave. Additionally, WMCAT will be re-airing its student-produced documentary Rhythm & Race: A History of African American Music in Grand Rapids, on May 11 at 7 p.m. at Wealthy Theatre. The viewing is free and no registration is required.
New this year to WMCAT’s lineup is their Summer Art Camps. These programs are offered to both GRPS and non-GRPS middle school and high school students. North Quarter of Grand Rapids

The North side of Grand Rapids doesn’t get nearly enough love as it deserves. Support the North Quarter of Grand Rapids at the first-ever Tour De Quarter bike tour to showcase the changing landscape of the neighborhoods that compromise the North Quarter, including Cheshire, Creston, and Monroe North. This family friendly event will take place on May 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City High School. For more information, click here.
